Lovely canalside cafe in Wiltshire. Amazing selection of cakes and nice food at a reasonable price. Good service.

A small busy cafe with a small kitchen and big seating area. On a sunny day people can spill out, outside. The kitchen must struggle at times. Still on our visit the day was gorgeous and fairly busy. The staff was young rushing but still friendly. The head person, the owner?, had a soft mellow demeanour but was also friendly and chatty. I had the burger, it was very juicy and wholesome filling. But the surprise on the plate was the coleslaw and the sweet relish dip both exotic and flavoursome. Most options on the menu are lite snack which made the choice of the burger easy. A good choice, for taste, but again on ease of preparing and cooking. As I mentioned on a busy day I can imagine the kitchen becoming swamped. I had to try the cloudy cider, a nice crisp taste on a fine sunny afternoon. Something I had to say carefully as it is a family friendly place. The water here is great quality, you can tell this by the tea. From the picture you can see the lack of hard water, which is a real treat and produces a smooth taste. The furniture had a modern stylish upcycling appeal. But it wasn't out of place and all the pieces matched the overall theme. A pleasant cafe and nice place to stop.

We arrived at peak lunch time with quite a queue to be served. However the queue moved really quickly and we were served within minutes. To be honest I needed the time to admire the cakes in the display cabinet and decide which one I was going to have! I ordered the mozzarella & pesto panini with the homemade coleslaw, and had the chocolate cheesecake. The food arrived really quickly and was delicious! Also another bonus for being dog friendly and giving our dog his very own little plate of dog treats!

I like this place. Its tucked away behind the crop circle museum and some derelict buildings. Next to the Canal. The pub is over the canal from it. Nice good quality food. Good service. Eating areas inside and outside. A Well established cafe, that's better than most.

Probably the best choice of cakes in Wiltshire Amazing Mars Bar brownie and huge vegan Ginger and Raspberry muffin. Dog friendly with plenty of space outside overlooking the Kennet and Avon Canal. Went again for a brekkie and the choices were very good, the cafe caters for all dietary requirements. When our plates arrived we were mind blown by presentation and huge portions. And then surprised again by exceptional taste of the food. I'll definitely be a regular

Without doubt the best afternoon tea I’ve ever had. Fresh & delicious sandwiches, beautiful cakes and all clearly homemade. Wouldn’t hesitate in returning and would highly recommend to others. I’ve paid more for afternoon teas elsewhere and they’ve been nowhere near as good.

We visited today and had the real dairy ice cream. It was very very tasty. The staff were very polite and nice and even offered to take photos for us!
